About Quinta do Munot

Quinta do Munot is a small comfortable Guesthouse, that combines the Jardim and Céu apartments into one luxurious home. Our staff offers an attentive high-quality service and is always ready to offer any help to guests.

The hotel is arranged on two floors, flooded with light, where you will enjoy unparalleled views of the sea, sky and countryside. Of course, your private garden with a magnificent terrace is at your disposal.

From the upper floor a staircase leads to your private 35 sqm roof terrace. The terrace is secured with glass so that nothing disturbs the view.

The rooms are arranged on the ground and first floors. On the top floor, there is also a charming terrace for the use of guests, from where you can enjoy the wonderful view. A cup of tee or coffee, favorite book on the table and breath-taking view in front – this is all you need to relax and to feel delightful emotions of your vacation.

Quinta do Munot is newly built in a magical place. The nearest neighbor is far away and you can feel the nature that is Madeira: mountains, sea, sky. We are a Swiss/German couple who love Madeira and who have made our dream of living by the sea come true. We are happy to show you exciting hiking routes, cozy restaurants and are always available for questions. We had the road built right up to the property so we have total peace and quiet at the end of the cul-de-sac.

The orientation of the houses was important to us to get the maximum amount of light. The Quinta do Munot faces south. The bedrooms face east to catch the sunrise over the mountains.

From Quinta do Munot you can see beautiful sunsets all year round.

The guest house is finished. There is still some work to be done on the main house. Our goal for the next few years is to be ecologically self-sufficient. Sustainable living is important to us and we have incorporated this into the construction. For example, the houses are insulated with Portuguese cork. The photovoltaic system will be installed soon. We have a water filtration system to provide clean, healthy water without harmful additives. We believe that drinking water from our tap is a better alternative than water in PET bottles. We have deliberately chosen not to have a pool. The most beautiful pool is at our feet. The vast Atlantic Ocean….
